Bio
Tommi got his first guitar from his uncle at the age of nine. He immediately started playing to songs from his father’s record collections. The young Tommi quickly sunk into the world of guitar.
The first major influences were Guns’n Roses, Nirvana and Queen. Music of the 90’s and his father’s band boosted his interest in playing in a band. Tommi and his little brother Antti with some of Tommi’s schoolmates messed about for a few years.
In the late ’94 Tommi met Tuomo Latvala, who sort of drifted into Tommi’s world of music. They started playing together – with Antti – in a group that later became known as Soundcheck. Also a long time friend Janne Argillander joined to play guitar later on.
Tuomo decided to leave the band and cousin Niko Salonen was recruited on bass in early ‘97. The band reformed as Reactor.
Alongside the journey of Reactor, Tommi’s musical taste expanded to punk and in 2001 he joined legendary finnish punk band Turun Tauti. Tommi got to tour Europe two times with Turun Tauti. He played in the band for two years. In 2002 Tommi, Aaro Kare, Janne Argillander and Cyril Belouet formed a HC-punk band Dissect. Tommi plays drums in the lineup.
Tommi works actively in the music scene as a sound engineer in local venues. He has also accomplished experience and knowledge of music electronics.
